DMCA & Copyright Policy
Author AI – TaterTapps LLC
Effective Date: October 13, 2026
TaterTapps LLC ("TaterTapps," "we," "our," or "us") respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects the people who use Author AI (the "Service") to do the same. This policy explains how copyright owners can report material that users have uploaded, published or shared on the Service, and how we respond under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512 ("DMCA").
1. REPORTING COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT
If you believe that material on the Service infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to our Designated Agent (Section 2). To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if the notice covers several works.
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it, such as the link (URL) to the book, story, cover, review or shared page.
- Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Notices that leave out these elements may not be acted on. The in-app "Report" button is a quick way to flag content to our team, but it is not a substitute for a written DMCA notice.
2. DESIGNATED AGENT
Send DMCA notices and counter-notices to:

Phone: (601) 750-9511
Email: dmca@tatertapps.com
This contact is for copyright matters only. For anything else, e-mail support@authoraiapp.com.
3. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A NOTICE
When we receive a notice that meets the requirements above, we act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material identified. We make a reasonable effort to tell the user who posted it, and we may give that user a copy of the notice, including your contact information.
4. COUNTER-NOTICE
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send our Designated Agent a written counter-notice. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) it must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which TaterTapps may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or that person's agent.
We will forward a valid counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless that person tells us they have filed a court action to restrain the allegedly infringing activity, we may restore the material no sooner than 10 and no later than 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.
5. REPEAT INFRINGERS
We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We may also limit access to the Service or remove content from any user who infringes the intellectual-property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
6. MISREPRESENTATIONS
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. If you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, consider speaking with an attorney before sending a notice.
